Dakota Burns is outgoing, perky, and alluring, but she isn’t the best at school. When she fails multiple classes, she’s embarrassed to show her parents, especially since her favorite step-uncle is visiting for the weekend. When her step-uncle, Dick Swardson, learns about Dakota’s grades, he steps in to see how he can help.
