Maitland Ward in Perfect Performance

“I love that I can use my body as a vessel for my art to express myself completely,” says Maitland Ward, our October 2021 Celebrity All Star. Returning to Playboy for her second gallery and video, Maitland does what she loves the most for our production team, Jacky St. James and Mad Creative. While she is most known for her roles in popular television and film, Maitland finds her work in the adult industry has allowed her to be her most authentic self. “Nothing could be more adventurous for me than becoming a professional porn star,” she says. “I’m so proud of the work I’m able to do in all areas of my life now — especially because I was told I couldn’t or shouldn’t do any of it. I proved Hollywood wrong.” For Maitland, this work is close to the heart, liberating, and important. “Playboy is such an iconic brand that stands for the art and expression of the female form. To be a part of it is such a special thing for me,” she shares. “I have been fortunate throughout my life, but I never take that for granted. I want to give back. Porn has given me so much.
